R&B Artist Janelle Monae took to the stage this past Friday with Jidenna to perform a slew of records in promotion of her label’s newly released EP, The Eephus including Jidenna’s “Classic Man”, “Yoga” and more. During her performance of the political new song “Hell You Talmbout”, Monae decided to get personal for a moment as she made a speech about police brutality, but as soon as she continued the network’s camera cut away.

“God bless all the lives lost to police brutality,” she began, adding, “We want white America to know that we stand tall today. We want black America to know we stand tall today. We will not be silenced…”
